1960 Volkswagon.

This 1960 VW was picked up by its current owner, Steve Lane, back in the mid-60's. After years of driving it, he decided it was time for a restoration. It was also time for a bit of custom work to take it through the next 50 years.

Bowden's performed the custom body work, paint, upholstery, wiring and assembly. The paint color you see here is the new Camaro "Solar Orange".

This custom sports widened fenders and all steel running boards.

In 1960, this bug left the factory with a standard hard-top. But this is Southern California, so Steve wanted a sun roof.

The sun-roof was taken from a '67 and grafted onto the '60.

Another custom feature was the addition of louvers to the engine cover. You'll also notice the nerf-bars in place of the stock bumper.
